2020 CR-V Hybrid

The 2020 CR-V Hybrid is a small SUV that delivers both impeccable style and performance. Honda has managed to maintain one of the top positions when it comes to small SUV rankings with its CR-V. And for 2020, it is bringing a Hybrid model to the lineup that promises a higher mpg. The new gas-electric model has several changes, including styling tweaks, several interior changes, and a range of driver assistance features.

Performance
The new 2020 CR-V Hybrid is powered by an Atkinson-cycle 2.0-liter inline-four gas engine combined with two electric motors. Both of these together generate an impressive punch of 212 horsepower. According to Honda, there will be a 50 percent increase in EPA city fuel economy over the non-hybrid, which means that the CR-V hybrid fuel economy would stand at around 44 mpg in the city. When slip is detected, a clutch sends the electric motor's torque to the rear wheels. So Honda made the all-wheel-drive standard for its CR-V Hybrid.

Style
Style-wise, the hybrid can be easily be identified when stashed against the nonhybrids in the background owing to its blue Honda logo, badges, and signature fog lights at the front. It also comes with a unique bumper and has an exhaust pipe hidden in the rear. For 2020, the CR-V Hybrid gets a new sharpened look with a grille that looks much bolder, darkened taillights, brand new fog lights, and a dark chrome trim. The EX and EX-L models are equipped with 18-inch wheels, while the Touring now has larger 19-inch wheels. The small SUV from Honda is available in new colors, such as Sonic Gray Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, and Aegean Blue Metallic.

Safety
Honda really stepped up its safety game for the 2020 CR-V Hybrid. Previously, the base LX lacked the Honda Sensing bundle of driver-assist features, while all other models had it as a standard feature. However, for 2020, that package is now a default offering on the base model too. The Honda Sensing bundle of driver-assistance features includes safety features like lane-departure warning, automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist.
